This upscale sober living home provides a peaceful and stable environment to help men navigate early recovery. The facility is abstinence and community-based in their approach to working with men coming out of addiction. The men who choose to stay at this facility agree to participate in weekly experiential groups, community meetings, behavioral change sessions and physical fitness sessions with a personal trainer. In addition, the men attend bi-weekly individual therapy sessions and biweekly group therapy sessions that are led by a counselor who specializes in addiction. An on-site staff member also helps with case management.
The men can enjoy an in-home gym, saltwater pool, sauna, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and hot tub as they relax during their stay at Winston Place. The home has business class high speed internet access, as many men continue to work and have meetings while in sober living.
The program at Winston Place has 4 distinct phases which men progress through individually at their own pace. The first phase is a welcome and stabilization phase where residents are encouraged not to work and have some personal privilege restrictions. The second phase is an acclimation period where men are encouraged to feel useful and engage in outside responsibilities. The power of individual and group therapy sessions prove to be useful when engaging in real life responsibilities. As the men progress through the program, they are encouraged to move to the third phase where they can take on additional leadership roles within the community.
