About Southern Live Oak Wellness

Located just outside Atlanta, Southern Live Oak Wellness provides high-quality mental health treatment for those struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, personality disorders, trauma, substance abuse, and more. Southern Live Oak meets the client where they are at in their journey by offering residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient services (IOP), and an LQBTQ+ group track.

Their mental health treatment center is a 6000 square foot building that gives clients the privacy and security needed to focus on recovery. The 8-bed, intimate setting offers peace and tranquility along with personalized treatment plans. Most clients live at the Southern Live Oaks apartments where they share a room with 1 other roommate in a comfortable, up-scale environment. The average length of stay for the program is 4 to 6 weeks before stepping down to a Day Treatment (PHP) or intensive outpatient program (IOP). During this time, clients will engage in a variety of evidence-based and holistic treatment options such as traditional talk therapy, eye movement therapy (EMDR), medical stabilization, outdoor recreation, animal-assisted therapy, music therapy, and Reiki along with more unique therapies like red light therapy, spravato, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and alpha stim. Their therapeutic living component is structured to help clients adopt critical life skills. They also offer additional services like cooking classes, fitness training, and job skills. All components of the program are designed to help clients learn practical skills and rediscover who they are.

Not all clients are required to stay on property; however, Southern Live Oak provides a therapeutic living option for those who are in the outpatient level of care. Southern Live Oak Wellness’s therapeutic home provides a variety of amenities like an on-site pool, a fitness center, an outdoor lounge, and a movie theater.
