Located along the Pacific coast in beautiful Newport Beach, California, Sierra by the Sea provides a full continuum of gender-specific care. Sierra by the Sea treats adult men and women aged 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders and certain co-occurring mental health disorders. At all levels, teams of experienced and compassionate professionals provide treatment with a commitment to quality care and respect. Additional features include research-based, evidence-supported clinical services, trauma-informed care, separate residences and treatment environments for men and women, and detailed discharge planning.

Comprehensive, Quality Care

Sierra by the Sea’s gender-specific programming includes residential treatment, a Day Treatment (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Depending on clients’ needs and their level of care, treatment may include detoxification, basic medical care, medication-assisted treatment, medication management services, individual, group, and family therapies, and experiential therapies like acupuncture, massage, art therapy, and equine-assisted therapy.
