About Sandstone Care Virginia

Sandstone Care Virginia understands there is no one-size-fits-all solution for treating addiction and mental health. They offer flexible program options like day treatment and intensive outpatient services. Sandstone believes that the success of recovery depends on each client getting the care best for them.

Customized And Evidence-Based Care

Identifying the best treatment begins with a confidential consultation with Sandstone’s admissions team. An initial assessment then determines the best level of care for each client. Insurance verification gives clients peace of mind when it comes to their treatment and payment options. Treatment at Sandstone Care takes an evidence-based, customized approach for maximum efficiency. Each plan is tailored to the substances clients use and the mental health conditions they may struggle with.

Comprehensive Treatment

Sandstone Care’s wide range of treatment approaches and evidence-based practices equip and empower teens, young adults, and their families with the tools they need to make positive changes in their lives. Treatments include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, music therapy, and art therapy.

Extended Treatment for Young Adults And Teens

Residential extended care programs offer young adults the opportunity to live in a therapeutic, recovery-focused setting while receiving comprehensive addiction and mental health treatment. For young adults (18-30) whose current living situation is not conducive to recovery, Sandstone offers sober living homes. For clients under 18, IOP is a longer-term, outpatient treatment option. This after-school program provides around 16 hours per week of academic or vocational support, weekly family sessions, group therapy sessions, and weekly community activities.
