This sober living program is run by a woman who began using at the age of 11 and eventually led her to a life-changing treatment program where she was introduced to a 12-Step Program where she learned tools to maintain her life in recovery. To be of service, she manages the women’s sober living facility and guides other women to experience true healing.
The mission of Odyssey is to provide safe drug and alcohol free housing for every demographic of women in the Seattle area. Living in a safe environment is essential to a successful sober living experience. Odyssey believes that by living in community with others who are going through a similar experience, women can learn to rely on like-minded people who encourage their sobriety. Additionally, residents are drug tested on a regular basis and are required to “work a program of recovery” by attending 12-Step meetings daily and attending private therapy sessions. All residents learn the importance of productivity by doing chores, returning to work, going to school and volunteering in the community.
