New Bridge Foundation is a nonprofit organization in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 50 years of experience treating alcohol and substance use disorders. Their expert staff combine holistic and evidence-based therapies employing modalities such as acupuncture, yoga, meditation, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), 12-Step facilitation, and relapse prevention. Their continuum of care includes medication-assisted detox, short- and long-term residential treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a partial hospitalization program (PHP). New Bridge offers the IOP and PHP services via telehealth, allowing clients the ability to maintain their normal responsibilities while receiving treatment.
New Bridge Foundation recognizes the unique challenges faced by veterans, LGBTQ+, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. To address these challenges, New Bridge has created specialized programs for the respective groups that provide individualized care. The veterans program features coping skills for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), stress management, and coordination with Veterans Affairs and military treatment providers. The LGBTQ+ program includes family and group-specific counseling that can focus on topics of discrimination, strained relationships, and trauma. Those in the co-occurring disorder program can expect to receive individualized mental health treatment plans, psychoeducation on co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based therapies.
