About Honey Lake Clinic

Honey Lake Clinic offers Bible-based, psychological care for those struggling with mental disorders like depression, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Their residential mental health program has a Christ-centered therapeutic environment, community, curriculum, and structure. Their goal is to re-engage clients with their faith and spirituality to overcome issues that may hold them back from a happy, healthy life. Each client is assigned a psychiatrist specialist, licensed therapist, and nursing staff, and clients are also given a comprehensive behavioral health bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment upon arrival. Honey Lake provides other evidence-based services, some of which include brain-mapping, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and more. Honey Lake also incorporates Christ-centered and Biblical principles into all the various treatment programs, sessions and groups.

Specialized Programs

Honey Lake also provides specialized programming catering to the needs of veterans and adolescents girls. The adolescent program treatments girls ages 13-17 struggling with anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and addition. This residential program utilizes traditional therapy as well as holistic therapies like equine-assisted therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Honey Lake’s veterans program address PTSD, addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation with biblical 1-on-1 counseling, eye movement therapy (EMDR), and proper nutrition.

Resort-Like Setting

Ideally situated on a 2200-acre lakeside resort, Honey Lake is designed to promote maximum relaxation to aid in the healing process. They have an outdoor pool, spa, fitness center, horse stables, and a lake. They are able to offer holistic therapies like equine-assisted therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, massage therapy, and more. Their founder, Dr. Karl Benzio, is a Christian psychiatrist who has successfully helped many addiction facilities integrate his faith-informed decision-making curriculum to improve their psychological and medical treatments.
