The Eating Recovery Center of Denver (ERC) was founded in 2019 in response to the increasing need for high-quality, intensive eating disorder treatment. ERC Denver provides inpatient programming, residential services, as well as an Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU), which supports patients with more complex behavioral and medical comorbidities. ERC Denver helps patients overcome their fear of food and eating by providing support and structure during meals and education on a balanced pattern of nutrition. The Residential program is designed for patients that need 24-hour support but no longer require the same intensity of medical support and stabilization of their inpatient programming. This program offers round-the-clock observation and support, as well as daytime medical and psychiatric supervision. A number of evidence-based clinical interventions are used in the residential program to enhance behavioral change including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive remediation therapy (CRT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and experiential therapies like art therapy, psychodrama, mindfulness, movement therapy, and yoga.
The treatment center is located in Denver, Colorado with the beautiful Rocky mountains as a backdrop. The 62,000 square-foot facility has 72 semi-private bedrooms. The numerous windows that surround the building pour in the natural light with outdoor scenery. Eating Recovery Center of Denver is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
