Located in the heart of Charlotte’s historic Dilworth neighborhood, Dilworth Center is set in a spacious 2 story home constructed in the early 1900s. Their mission is to offer affordable and effective treatment services to individuals and families impacted by alcoholism and drug addiction in a modern, cozy setting.
Before beginning treatment, each patient undergoes a comprehensive assessment to establish a preliminary treatment plan and will receive an overview of the treatment process. The adult and family treatment programs last for 16 weeks, while the adolescent program is 18 weeks long. The programs include education on the disease of addiction, group and individual therapy sessions, a family program, and 12-Step groups. Additional programming tailored for young adults and adolescents includes the creation of constructive peer influence and support systems, as well as the development of non-chemical coping mechanisms.
Dilworth Center also provides individualized treatment services for professionals such as pilots, dentists, nurses, and attorneys, among others. They provide education, guidance, and support to help these professionals navigate the challenges of balancing recovery, career, and regulatory requirements. Dilworth Center collaborates with regulatory and advocacy boards, employee assistance programs, and employers to ensure long-term, sustainable recovery for each patient.
