Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Given the high correlation between mental illness and substance use disorders among patients, Comprehensive Wellness focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of co-occurring disorders through medication-assisted treatment and behavioral approaches. This facility offers pharmacogenetic testing, brain mapping, and traditional approaches such as individual and group counseling. They also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and assertive community treatment throughout the recovery process.
Substance Abuse
Addiction treatment at Comprehensive Wellness addresses alcoholism and dependencies of benzodiazepine, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and prescription drugs. The residential program starts with detox that is medically assisted, and is followed by an evidence-based approach to addressing substance use disorders. This includes individualized treatment plans using family therapy, behavioral therapy, relapse prevention planning, vocational/academic support, and 12-step facilitation, among many others. The day treatment program offers a holistic approach to recovery, such as music therapy, meditation, group sessions, dual diagnosis, and case management. This facility also offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that creates a personalized plan to fit the needs of each patient, using a family intensive focus. Each patient can expect individual sessions, group therapy, 12-step recovery groups, and meetings with family counselors and licensed psychologists during this level of care. Vivitrol/Naltrexone, Suboxone, Subutex, and Sublocade are medication options offered at Comprehensive Wellness.
Mental Health Treatment
The mental health programs offered at this facility include inpatient, outpatient, and trauma, which treat the following disorders: anxiety, bipolar, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and schizophrenia. The trauma speciality program begins with a screening process that assesses whether this program is the best fit for the patient. Upon admittance, individuals participate in trauma processing groups, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and reconsolidation of traumatic memories (RTM).
