Briarwood Detox offers medical detox services as well as 24-hour medical, psychiatric, and individual therapy. Briarwood Detox is unique in that it provides medical detox in houses rather than hospitals, which are designed expressly for the customers’ comfort. Briarwoods priority is to create an environment conducive to healing and rest. The houses are in peaceful residential neighborhoods of Houston, Texas with single platform beds, bedside tables, and outside living areas are given in spacious, semi-private rooms. Customers are served bespoke meals cooked by local restaurants.
Briarwood Detox is dedicated to making detox therapy affordable and accessible to all. As a result, they provide clients with instant vacancies and transportation to and from their Houston detox centers. Clients will meet with a detox counselor daily and attend one group therapy session per day in addition to receiving medical care. Clients are able to participate in therapeutic music and art activities. Briarwood suggests that clients move to one of their addiction treatment programs, such as their residential rehab program or intense outpatient program, as soon as possible after detox (IOP).
