Riverbend is a mental health hospital that serves the West Lafayette community and beyond by providing acute stabilization and treatment for patients with severe mental health disorders. The most common disorders that their trained professionals treat are depression, suicidal thoughts, psychosis and bipolar disorder. Inpatient treatment at Riverbend can help patients attain a more stable mood, improve their daily functioning, improve concentration and thinking, decrease suicidal thinking, improve impulse control and reduce hallucinations.
Patient treatment includes ‘round-the-clock nursing treatment, interdisciplinary care, individual and group therapy, recreational therapy, medication management and aftercare planning. Many patients at Riverbend are referred to an outpatient treatment center to continue their mental health treatment after stabilization. Riverbend accepts all forms of commercial insurance and also treats those who are uninsured.
