Shahida’s Place is a residential treatment center in Riverside County that offers evidence-based programs for individuals struggling with addiction. The center offers a collaborative approach to detox, led by a board-certified medical doctor. All patients receive personalized attention with 1:1 therapy sessions. While participation in groups programs is encouraged, it is not required during detox.
Clients can transition from detox to the inpatient residential phase, where they receive more intensive group therapy and counseling sessions, guided by healthcare and clinical professionals. Daily group and individual therapy sessions continue, and patients work with medical staff, case managers, and therapists to set goals and address any residual medical concerns from the detox phase. Therapists and case managers also help patients set health goals, identify triggers, and create relapse prevention plans.
At Shahida’s Place, individual therapy is a crucial component of addiction treatment. Patients receive one-on-one therapy sessions to discuss their personal history with drugs and/or alcohol. Shahida’s Places highly-trained therapists lead group therapy sessions. Their comprehensive medication-assisted treatment plan includes medications like Naltrexone and Vivitrol. To support long-term recovery, Shahida’s Place offers a variety of aftercare options such as sober living facilities, outpatient programs, recovery meetings, and mentorship programs.
