About Azure Acres

Azure Acres treats addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions with multiple levels of care. These include residential treatment, day treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a lifetime of aftercare. Their center rests on 30 acres. Azure Acres uses evidence-based and personalized treatment to help each client heal holistically.

Inclusive And Comprehensive

Azure Acres treats addiction in men, women, veterans, and LGBTQ+ clients. Azure Acres provides detox for those who need it. Clients begin therapy as soon as they feel up to it, with weekly group therapies, gender-specific therapy, family therapy, and an individual session with their therapist each week. Their weekly experiential therapies include qigong, role-playing, and expressive arts.

Whole-Person Treatment

Azure Acres offers multiple evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), 12-Step meetings and education, and somatic therapy. They also offer bibliotherapy (reading or storytelling), yoga, and outdoor activities on their property.To help clients settle in, Azure Acres pairs each client with a buddy as soon as they begin treatment.

Multiple Levels of Client-Centered Care

Azure Acres offers multiple levels of care. Their day treatment program runs for 6 days each week, for 15-30 days. In day treatment, clients can live at home or in Azure Acres’ sober living home. Their IOP program runs for 4 days a week, for 3 hours each day. They have 2 IOP locations: Sebastopol and Sacramento. IOP lasts 6 weeks. Azure Acres also provides sober living. After treatment, clients have a lifetime of aftercare access, which includes weekly alumni meetings, monthly dinners, and annual events.

Their evidence-based therapies begin with an in-depth assessment to guide treatment and tailor it to individual needs. Clients receive 1:1 therapy once a week, with weekly group therapies and family education sessions.

A Continuum of Care

Azure Acres offers a full continuum of care, with residential treatment, day treatment, intensive outpatient, sober living, and lifetime aftercare. They also provide detox for those who need it, with medical staff monitoring the process. Clients can live at home or in Azure Acres’ sober living unit during day treatment. In aftercare, clients unite with other alumni in weekly meetings, monthly alumni dinners, and process groups.

Family Therapy And Education

Azure Acres includes family in recovery, offering a family weekend workshop, weekly family education sessions, and family therapy twice a month. Family members can visit each Sunday from 11-3pm. Family groups educate loved ones on codependency, addiction, recovery, and healthy boundaries.

Specialized Recovery Groups

Azure Acres offers separate group therapies for men and women once a week. Small case group sessions meet 3 times a week to discuss topics like forgiveness, honesty, anger, 12-Step education, anxiety, denial, and more. Azure Acres also offers a Humor in Recovery session, led by a comedian in recovery, and a 12-week Conscious Recovery program that helps clients identify the root cause of their addiction.
