This behavioral health hospital provides inpatient services for both children and adolescents, while separating them by age. Children and adolescents are treated among others their age. Because children and adolescents respond differently to treatment and have different needs than adults. The team of professionals offers treatment for a range of behavioral health concerns including depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, bipolar, psychosis and substance use addiction. The services at Montrose are for children and adolescents who are in a severe state of crisis, need stabilization or are a danger to themselves. Most patients’ duration of treatment lasts from 5-7 days. Patients meet with licensed mental health professionals like psychiatrists, licensed social workers, licensed counselors, art therapists, recreational therapists and dieticians. On top of medical care, they receive evidence-based individual, group and family therapy.
