Hickory Wind provides separate high-end sober living homes for men and women at various points on their recovery journey. This sober living program is committed to providing healing environments for their residents in Austin as they transition from structured inpatient or outpatient care to real life and responsibilities. In addition to sober living, they provide extended care services to help residents maintain sobriety as they transition.
All residents participate in daily group meditation meetings with residents of their sober living home. They also continue having weekly one-on-one sessions with their counselor. All residents are given a full fitness membership, including a crossfit membership. All residents receive job or school placement assistance depending on their life situation. Residents are required to take part in 12-Step meetings and also join a book study. During their time at Hickory Wind, residents learn life skills and are held accountable. Once a resident’s time is complete at Hickory Wind, recovery coaches help make the transition to living independently as smooth as possible.
