Their unique CLICC (Commitment, Life Skills, Integrity, Connection, and Community) model finds the strengths of each client, and provides help in areas where it’s needed. Holistic and experiential therapies delve deeper into each teen or young adult, teaching the tools needed to hone their strengths and recover from mental health conditions, addictions, or both.
Sandstone Care believes in making real, genuine connections with each client they treat. This connection stems from honesty, compassion, and service, which they additionally apply to the families of those in treatment. To create these connections and make interpersonal discoveries, Sandstone Care uses more than only talk therapy. They go outside, enjoying their surroundings or making art projects while overseeing therapists make each activity as therapeutic as it is fun.
Sandstone’s teen center at Cascade Canyon focuses on the root of substance use, mental health issues, or both, treating the cause before the symptoms. Sandstone’s comprehensive treatment approach brings in the whole family, as they believe returning teens or young adults to an educated, supportive, and compassionate home is key to their lasting sobriety and success. Vocational and academic guidance are also key focuses of treatment, combining with Sandstone’s family care to create a treatment plan that’s fully comprehensive and catered to teens and young adults.
Experiential therapy brings teens and young adults out of the grips of addiction or mental illness. While forms of talk therapy are often important and helpful, Sandstone seeks to provide teens with memorable activities and a therapeutic release. This approach is notably beneficial for active teens and young adults who are always looking for fun–without addictive substances. Hikes, wilderness therapy, equine therapy, art and music therapy, and holistic therapies make healing a gratifying and fun task. Academic support keeps teens on track with school, guided by Sandstone’s on-site teachers. Older teens and young adults receive vocational guidance, helping them set and reach career goals. Sandstone Care seeks to nourish and support each aspect of teens and young adults, treating root causes of addiction to return them to their homes refreshed, hopeful, and driven to succeed.
