Founded in 2010, Phoenix Rising recovery is a rehabilitation center in Palm Desert, California. They got their name from an Egyptian myth about a phoenix that is said to have destroyed itself by fire and re-emerged from its own ashes to start anew. Phoenix Rising Recovery believes that those fighting addiction can also rise from the ashes of defeat. They have a social detox and withdrawal management recovery program and an evidence-based residential program. These programs usually last between 30-90 days. Their mission is to gain insight into the reasons behind someone’s substance use or addiction. Phoenix Rising uses mindfulness, ACT, CBT and DBT philosophies.
Phoenix Rising offers their clients the comforts of home in a cozy, traditional ranch. The client will have a semi-private room with access to a jacuzzi, full gym, and recreation room. Phoenix Rising also has a large outdoor fireplace and a pool. Also, equine therapy is one of the holistic therapies they offer. Phoenix Rising’s residential treatment center is gender-based and designed to treat both genders individually and according to their differences.
